Jan. 28th, 2004 10:28 amIn a small town located between Germany and Switzerland a bridge was being built. Half a bridge was built by Germany, and another half - by Switzerland. When the bridge was almost ready, they found out that their parts differ in height. In Germany they used to set "sea level" by Nothern Sea, while in Switzerland - by Mediterranian Sea. The difference is 27 cm.
Do you think the engineers did not take this into account? Of course they did! That's why the difference in height appeared to be 54 cm.
