"Inspiring creativity"? Looks more like inspiring suicidal tendencies.

Suicide is the act of intentionally taking one's own life. None of them do the tricks to take their own lives. They do it to have fun.

I don't see what's fun in diving head-first into a pile of snow (without a parachute) from the height of an 8-story building...

That's not fun. Fun is all the time right before the head-first dive.

One may say sex brings temporary apathy and exhaustion. But the time right before that is fun. ;-)

There's a fine line between an adrenaline rush, and something that has an excellent potential of getting you killed (e.g. free falling in a close proximity to a jagged rocky wall). Many have tried and aren't with us today.

Why should this be endorsed by the National Geographic?

You probably misunderstand the whole idea. National Geographic doesn't endorse suicide propaganda, it endorses film festival. And Banff is not about suicide, it's about adventures, exploration, travelling. Sone adrenaline rush - yes, but not even half of all Banff showtime is adrenaline.
